Background:
On April 2023, war erupted in the Sudanese capital Khartoum, between the Sudanese Armed Forces(SAF) and the Rapid Support Forces(RSF), plugging the country into intense political and humanitarian crisis with unprecedented emerging needs, As of July 2024, over 10.2 million people were fled the active conflict states to other safer states or crossing the board to other neighbouring countries, about large numbers fled to Egypt and Ethiopia countries that has also similarly high records of FGM. While for internally displaced(IDPs)
Although Sudan has legally banned the practice of FGM in 2020, women and girls continued to face increased risks of violence, exploitation and abuse, including FGM. Ongoing conflict has led to the breakdown of the rule of law and governance structures in Khartoum and a few other states. Declaring state of emergency permits the government to prioritize security and stability over individual rights and the rule of law. Additionally, in the chaos of displacement traditional practices may persist, perpetuating the cycle of FGM and denying women and girls accessibility to quality SRHR.

Scope:
Task to be undertaken by the consultant;
Site visits to SFPA targeted branches by the assessment
To develop, discuss and finalize the assessment proposal
Training of data collection teams at branch levels
Supervise data collection and cleaning at field level
Submit and present the final report for the technical committee
Validation of final report in national workshop at HQ
Compiling the final the report, and translation of the report
